  • Croatian World Games - Zadar 2006
    Welcome to the Official Site of the Croatian World Games! As Games organiser, the Croatian World Congress (CWC) is proud to present the 1st Croatian World Games, to be held in the City of Zadar and Zadar County from July 15 to 21, 2006. Under the high patronage of Croatian Government, the Games will for the first time in history gather athletes from the Homeland and Emigrant Croatia for one week of competition and meeting. Participating at the Games are athletes from Croatia and those of Croatian extraction from 25 countries around the world. We are proud to announce that the City of Zadar, Zadar County, the Zadar Archdiocese, the Croatian Heritage Foundation and the Croatian Olympic Committee are co-patrons of these Games. It is the aim of the Croatian World Games to link Croatian youth from around the world to strengthen their bonds with the homeland. This is also a unique opportunity for the Croatian public to get better acquainted with the diversity that is Emigrant Croatia.     HRVATSKE SVJETSKE IGRE - ZADAR, SRPANJ 2010 Postanite sudionikom Hrvatskih svjetskih igara Dragi prijatelji, Vjerojatno ce vas iznenaditi vijest da ce se godine 2010. u Zadru ponovno okupiti sportasi hrvatskog porijekla iz preko dvadeset drzava svijeta, s cetiri kontinenta. Sprema se velika sportska manifestacija koja ce svim sudionicima i gledateljima ostati u dugom sjecanju.     History In 1985, the World Police & Fire Games Federation, a non-profit organization, run by the Californian Police Athletics Federation, established the World Police & Fire Games. Today, the World Police & Fire Games are a spectacular international sporting event, offering police officers, firefighters, customs and correction officers from around the world an opportunity to showcase their athletic excellence in over 65 sporting events. Held biennially, the World Police & Fire Games will be held in British Columbia in 2009 and New York City in 2011. The size and scope of the games continues to grow, with both the attendance and number of participating countries steadily increasing. The international community eagerly bids for the rights and opportunity to hold this exciting event.
