    Danas je Katolička Crkva na području Republike Hrvatske teritorijalno podijeljena u 15 (nad)biskupija koje tvore tri metropolije: zagrebačka, splitsko-makarska i riječka, te jedna samostalna nadbiskupija: zadarska i Vojni Ordinarijat. Katolička Crkva u hrvatskom narodu obuhvaća i sarajevsku metropoliju koja je sva na teritoriju države Bosne i Hercegovine a tvore je, uz sarajevsku nadbiskupiju, banjolučka biskupija te mostarsko-duvanjska i trebinjsko-mrkanska biskupija. Od godine 1995. Katolička Crkva u Bosni i Hercegovini ima svoju samostalnu biskupsku konferenciju. Hrvatska biskupska konferencija. Hrvatska biskupska konferencija (HBK) je nacionalni kolegij katoličkih biskupa s područja Republike Hrvatske. HBK je službeno od Svete Stolice potvrđena 1993. godine, a po statutu godišnje održava tri redovna zasjedanja, po potrebi i više izvanrednih. Sjedište HBK je u Zagrebu gdje stalno djeluje njezino Tajništvo....
