Croatian Community Council of South Australia

The Croatian Community Council of South Australia is an umbrella body representing South Australian Croatian organizations and Croatian South Australians.

The Council's vision is for a "united, effective, and prosperous community working for the common good of all Croatians and Australians of Croatian heritage in South Australia". Some of the objectives as per the Strategic Plan include the following:

to improve communication within the South Australian Croatian community;
to improve communication with those outside the Croatian community, including federal, state, and local government organizations, and other bodies;
to establish more efficient administrative structures within the Croatian community to advance the common Croatian good;
to improve the ability to deal with the needs and concerns of the entire Croatian community in South Australia;
to market Croatia and the South Australia Croatian community to the general South Australian community; and
to affiliate with like-minded Croatian bodies nationally and internationally.

Council Projects And Reports 1997-2000

1997-1998: Croatian Community and Business Directory SA
	The Council was involved with the Australian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce & Industry SA Inc. in producing a 68 page directory in the English language. This publication is more than a standard directory; it is also a record of Croats in South Australia, their activities and achievements, and the various organizations that have been established. This directory is available free of charge to any member of the South Australian Croatian community or interested persons. For your copy, please contact the Council by post or by email.
October 1998: Croatian Community Council of S. A. Inc. Conference Report (Adelaide)
	On October 24-25 1998, the Council held a successful 2-day Croatian Community Council of South Australia Conference, at the Croatian Club, Adelaide.
Croatian Cultural Festival
	As part of the effort to promote Croatia and South Australia Croatian culture to all South Australians, the Council is investigating the possibility of holding a Croatian cultural festival in Adelaide in the near future. Croatian Information Centre
	The establishment of the Croatiasa.com website and associated local links, is stage one of an ambitious plan to improve communications within the South Australian Croatian community both internally and externally. Success will depend on active participation in the new communication technologies and will be limited only by our imaginations!
