MORE CROATIAN WORLD GAMES AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS REQUIRED - NOVEMBER 2009 (ARCHIVE)

More player registrations are required to top up teams to represent Australia, at the next Croatian World Games in Zadar, Croatia, July 2010. Similarly, there are a number of sporting disciplines for which registrations have yet to be received, including new sports that were added during the build up to the recent qualifiers in Adelaide.

Currently teams that have been established include Basketball (men), Bocce (men), and Soccer Veterans (men), Table Tennis Veterans (men) and Beach Volleyball (men) and Tennis (men).

Players are still required to top up teams in the following sporting disciplines, Rugby 7’s (men), Basketball (women’s), Soccer (men), Soccer (women), Swimming (women), Table Tennis (men), Tennis Veterans (men) and Handball (men).

Registrations are also still available for the following sporting disciplines, including the new sports that were included in recent months; Athletics (men, women), Badminton (men, women), (Bocce (women), Beach Volleyball (women), Beach Volleyball (2nd men’s team), Diving (pool – men, women), Futsal (men, women), Handball (women), Karate (men, women), Swimming (men), Table Tennis (women), Table Tennis Veterans (women), Tennis Veterans (men) Tennis (women), Tennis Veterans (Women), Volleyball (men, women), Waterpolo (men). New player registrations are requested by 15th December 2009 and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis until positions fill up.

Latest players to have qualified for “Team Australia” is the Table Tennis Veterans men’s team; Zoran Petrov (SA), Dinko Dedic (VIC), Goran Lovrinov (SA), Zeljko Hosu (SA), and towards the Table Tennis men’s team Robert Vincekovic (SA)
